BioCharacter: Fai D. Flowright
Series: Horitsuba Gakuren - specifically a High School AU/Crossover version of the original series he hails from Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle and it's counterpart of xxxHolic. He is not the Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle version.
Age: 27
Class he Teaches: Chemistry (regulars)
Power: Energy-based spells used for either attacking or defending; he cannot use any healing spells. He prefers not to use any of his magic at all, but when he does, he will channel it through his fingers, writing out glyphs in the air. His elemental association leans towards ice/water.
Background:
Note: This is loosely based off of what is known from the Tsubasa: RC canon since the Horitsuba canon is 1. based off of TRC, and 2. is seriously lacking in background information
Fai and his younger twin brother Yuuhi were orphaned at a young age and spent a good portion of their childhood in an orphanage. Though they did not wish to be separated, the two were adopted out separately as teenagers and were forced to grow up apart from each other. They did not lose contact, however, and once they were old enough to become independents, they reunited and lived with each other for a time before moving off to pursue their own interests. Fai went on to college and ended up becoming a chemistry teacher for a private Academy while Yuuhi traveled to Italy where he opened and now owns his own restaurant.
At the Academy, Fai was one of the more eccentric teachers that wished to be friends with his students rather than lord over them as an authority figure. He still did his job properly, albeit some unprofessional conduct towards the gym teacher, Kurogane. He enjoyed teasing his colleague (and friend, though Kurogane would never admit to being that), and also followed along with the crazy schemes of the Headmistress Yuko (of xxxHolic fame) just for a bit of a laugh. Yuuhi eventually came to the same Academy Fai taught at to work as Culinary Instructor.
Following Yuuhi’s arrival at the school, and after an certain incident resulting from one of Yuko’s schemes occurred, Headmaster Yuko thought it would be a good idea if Fai spent a little time away from Horistuba Gakuen and, without getting his permission, transferred him to a different school, Meillure, to see how he would handle it.
Or that’s at least her reasoning behind it.
Fai didn’t argue the transfer since he was always up for learning new things and meeting new people, but he will still be missing his usual students and his favorite teacher-in-arms to tease. And also Yuuhi.
Interesting Information:
-He is blind out of his left eye due to an accident while he was in High School. Though the cause of it is something he will speak freely on, he prefers to shy away from talking about himself.
-He hates Sushi and cannot use chopsticks to save his life.
-His favorite food is Alcohol (and yes, he considers it a food).
